chrissyviolet: is a Norwich based artists who works in a multi-disaplianary way. She graduated from Norwich School of Art and Design in 2008 with an MA Fine Art and in 2003 from Sunderland Uni with her BA Fine Art 2:1. she is a founding member of the following artist groups; Nadja Artists, Norwich Dandies, 11 Fortified. She is inspired by the world around her, observing the people she sees and questioning her own body and views on femininity. She is interested the way women decorate themselves and perform to gendered ideals in our daily masquerade and through the media. To her the ideals of female perfection are a fantasy which is far removed from reality and often far from the true beauty of what being a woman is.
